domain names

So what are domain names and why would i want one? Well if you want a web site or your own email address then you will need to buy a domain name. For example the domain for this web site is www.bluew.co.uk. All domain names need to be unique and as such you need ot register the domain name (and unfortunately, pay for it). You can then use this name for both your web site and your email.

email addresses

You can have any number of email accounts using your domain name. e.g. If you domain is www.yourname.co.uk then you can have email addresses like you@yourname.co.uk or fred@yourname.co.uk.

This means you can have email addresses that are linked to you web site and therfore business. this gives you a much more professional image than using your internet providers email address.
