what is e-commerce?
e-commerce is just another way to say online buying and selling. To sell your products online you will need an online store. This is a web site that consists of product pages, which describe and show the products for sale, a form of shopping cart where any products chosen by the customer can be viewed and changed. It also shows the total price and then allows the customer to complete the purchase.
how is the site maintained?
The site comes with a web based administration interface that allows the owner of the site to add/remove products, changes prices etc. It also allows the owner to process the sales. Emails are used to inform the customers of the progress of their purchases and to inform the owner of new sales generated.
